Albany’s annual fall event is the Pioneer Days Threshing Show put on by the Stearns County Pioneer Club and held each year in September. Going strong for over 40 years, Pioneer Days is a huge event that draws flee-market vendors, tractor / farming enthusiasts, and families from across the state.
Throughout the years the Albany Jaycees have played a vital role in the event by organizing and working the Jaycees Food Stand. Our members, along with various middle / high school groups, work the entire week assisting with setup, cooking, and cleanup. In previous years we have partnered with the dance team, swim team, robotics team, trap league, and more to make our food stand a success.
During the event we serve brats, pork loins, and a soup-of-the-day. Money raised at the Jaycees Food Stand is added to our fundraising efforts and put toward operating expenses. You can find our booth near Gate 2, right next to the beer stand. Come eat with us — you’ll get some delicious grub and help a good cause at the same time!
Pioneer Days Threshing Show is held at the "Pioneer Grounds," 21565 360th Street, Albany, MN. Visit the Albany Pioneer Days Threshing Show website to learn more.
Another one of our great annual events is the Albany Jaycees State Youth Wrestling Tournament. Held every March, our organization works with the state wrestling league and the Albany Area School to coordinate a State Tournament. Each year the event hosts 400-500 pre-k through 6-grade wrestlers from all across the state. Youth wrestlers can make it our sponsored event by qualifying at one of a dozen wrestling tournaments. All money raised goes toward community projects and fulfilling donation requests.
